Tax planning

Comprehensive planning leads to long term wealth. Whether you are a business owner, high earner, or simply a good saver, planning can save money, and increase your wealth, especially over time.

When you make a money decision, do you understand the tax implications? Who can you talk to? Will a mortgage save on my taxes? An electric vehicle? Solar panels? That plan for my health or child care expenses at work? Don’t rely on tiktok for tax advice, get year round access to the Wealth Geek!

Tax resolution

Getting a notice from the IRS or DOR can be scary, but can be optimally handled, with the right know-how. We have it! Whether you have a forgotten an income document, have a paper audit or identity verification request, or you need more extensive resolution assistance like a payment plan, penalty abatement or offer in compromise, set up a consultation today and let’s get it handled. Unlike wine, notices do not get better with time.

do it yourself

If your taxes are truly simply, and you are willing to pay the price for software, or wait a long time while your paper filed return is processed, you can certainly do your own taxes. I did my own for years. If your taxes are more complex, then you can still do your own, provided you are willing to spend the time studying the appropriate forms and instructions. Each one has a time estimate provided by the IRS. But each complexity can add complexity to the rest — a challange you can give to the Wealth Geek!

As in all things, some find DIY satisfying, others would rather spend their time with their grandkids, or gaming, or traveling. Your time or your money, but it just may be cheaper, too, to give it to the Wealth Geek.
